Daniel J. Johnston, MD
Education:
A graduate of Wayne State University School of Medicine, Detroit, Michigan. He completed his general surgery residency at Wayne State as well. He completed his vascular surgery fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, Michigan. In addition, Dr. Johnston is certified in ACLS and has the American College of Surgeons Ultrasound Certification and American Board of Surgery Certification in general surgery.

He has received the Critical Care Reading Award, the Charles Huang Award for excellence in surgical clerkship, the REU Award from Michigan State University and was Dow Scholar at Alma College.

Dr. Johnston joined Advanced Vascular Surgery in 2009. He is dedicated to providing complete and comprehensive vascular care, providing a full spectrum of care, from aortic aneurysms to varicose veins. He states, “It is vital for a Vascular Specialist to be well versed in all aspects of Vascular Surgery in order to provide superior patient care.”

Dr. Johnston’s professional affiliations include membership in the American Medical Society, Wayne County Medical Society, Detroit Surgical Association and the American College of Surgeons Resident and Associate Society.

 

Tammy Klemens, CNP
Education:
Tammy received her Diploma of Nursing from Bronson School of Nursing in Kalamazoo Michigan. She then went to Nazareth College also in Kalamazoo Michigan where she graduated with a BSN. After working for a couple of years as a RN she decided to go back to school at Grand Valley State University where she received her MSN, NP degree. She is a board certified as a nurse practitioner through the ANCC, and is ACLS certified.

Tammy has a special interest in dialysis/nephrology. She has worked in this field for 14 years and has 12 years of critical care experience as well.
